PHOTO SHOW UPDATE

The list of accepted participants and the selected works will be sent out today (via email) - lots of great images!



If your work was accepted-Here’s what you need to do next:

  1. frame your work* (Michael’s, Sam Flax, Warehouse Framers, other), prepare work for hanging (works larger than 20"x24", do not need to be framed - if you can hang them without framing)
    *** alternative presentation methods are fine, as long as they look good with the work - if you have any questions, please ask jpishne@scad.edu - thanks
  2. pay $25 to Judith Pishnery – cash or check – you can do this when you come to hang your work next weekend (this payment is - to cover cost of show (announcement in ACP guide, invites, materials to clean space (cleaner, paint), serving items for reception)
  3. Invites will be ready to distribute next week – pick up in photo department in Atlanta – specific day will be announced when they are ready
  4. Show will be hung on Oct 9, 10 & 11 (Friday, Saturday, & Sunday – schedule TBD)
    -the show space is at Atlantic Station (Atlantic Drive & 18th Street, directly above Doc Greene’s – take escalator 5 to the 2nd level)
    work must be delivered to the show location in Atlantic Station (Atlanta) and
    each participant is responsible for hanging their own work and must attend one of the scheduled times to hang their work
    work must be ready to hang (matted, framed, wired) when you show up
    bring supplies to hang your work – nails, hammer, wire, hangers, etc.
  5. You must hang your own work on one of these days (Oct 9, 10, 11 – times TBD),
    if you cannot attend and hang your work – you may arrange to have someone else hang it
    or choose to drop out of the show (please let us know if you choose not to participate)
  6. Day of show - each participant is responsible for bringing food & drink (a snack and a liter bottle of a soft drink)
    we will provide: cups, ices, plates, napkins, serving items (bowls, baskets, utensils)
  7. Additional food will be provided by 19th Street Café, Boneheads, and Rosas Mexican, possible cash bar provided by 19th Street Café –TBD

*the committee reserves the right to reject work that is not acceptable in print quality or presentation.

The show will be fabulous.
